What ApoB/ApoA1 Ratio measures
The ApoB/ApoA1 ratio divides the atherogenic particle count by the main HDL protein. It is calculated from two measured markers on the same draw.

Why it matters
How clinicians usually read it
It condenses the particle-level lipid story into one proportion. A high ratio means more plaque-forming particles relative to the return path.
When it reads low
A lower value can mean
A lower ratio usually reflects fewer ApoB particles relative to ApoA1. It is reassuring context, not a guarantee.
When it reads high
A higher value can mean
A higher ratio means the particle balance leans atherogenic. ApoB itself remains the clearer treatment target for most clinicians.
