Why it matters
How clinicians usually read it
It is a quick window into whether the protein panel is albumin-heavy or globulin-heavy. Big shifts still need a clinician, not a protocol from the number alone.
When it reads low
A lower value can mean
A lower globulin can follow immune suppression or protein loss. It is a prompt to look at the rest of the panel.
