Why it matters
It adds an inflammation layer to cardiovascular and metabolic context. A single spike after a cold, dental work, or hard training is not the same as a persistent elevation.
When it reads low
A low hs-CRP is the usual quiet pattern. It does not rule out other disease; it simply does not show this inflammation signal.
When it reads high
