What Thyroglobulin Antibodies measures
Thyroglobulin antibodies (anti-Tg) are immune proteins directed at thyroglobulin, the protein the thyroid uses to build hormone. They are a separate assay from TPO antibodies.

Why it matters
How clinicians usually read it
Some people have autoimmune thyroid activity with a quiet TPO and a loud anti-Tg, or the reverse. SiPhox and the Tasso+ evaluation list both include this pair.
When it reads low
A lower value can mean
A low or undetectable anti-Tg is the usual quiet pattern and does not rule out other thyroid issues.
When it reads high
A higher value can mean
A higher anti-Tg can mark autoimmune thyroid activity. It is read with TSH, free T3, free T4, and TPO, not as a stand-alone diagnosis.
