Why it matters
How clinicians usually read it
It helps explain why TSH might drift over time. Many people with antibodies remain well; the marker is about risk and context, not an automatic diagnosis.
When it reads low
A lower value can mean
A low or undetectable result is the usual finding and does not guarantee future thyroid stability.
When it reads high
A higher value can mean
A higher result suggests autoimmune thyroid activity. Function (TSH, Free T4) still decides whether the gland is keeping up today.
